He is survived by: his wife Deborah Sowers of Clarkesville; his children, Rob Sowers of Delaware, Ron Sowers (Stacey) of Delaware, Brittan Sowers of Clarkesville, Kathie Blackwell of Toccoa and Brenda (Chris Falck); his grandchildren, Shaina Blackwell, Missy Blackwell, Jay Sertain and Evan Sowers; his great grandchildren, Keithlynn, Aurora, Gus, Kellum, Tinsley, Lamoura, Carleigh and Leah; his siblings, Richie Sowers of Baltimore, Maryland, Patricia Leavitt of Florida, Vera Yarbrough (Rick) of Flowery Branch, Donna Barrett (Dan) of Hiawassee and Carol McColligan (Dan) of Maryland; his niece Koren "Korn" Blythe; and also, Mark, Paula, Gunner and Reece Bailey.
