He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Shiflet Smith of Clarkesville, GA; his sons, Erik Smith of Clarkesville, GA and Shane Smith of Clarkesville, GA; his sister Sharon; his brother-in-law Ricky Taylor of Mt. Airy, GA; his uncle Carlos (Sherry Kilby); his sister-in-law Melinda Shiflet of Toccoa, GA; his niece Christen Shiflet; his nephews, Charlie Shiflet, Corey Shiflet, Payton Taylor and Patrick Taylor; his cousin Pam Williams Cooper (John Cooper); and also Cecila.
