She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Douglas and Betha Dixon Hill; her husband John H. Barnette; and her siblings, Boots Hill, Charles Hill, Doris Ledbetter, Carolyn Thompson, Lois Wall and Margaret Batson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kelley (Rodney Herrin) and Carol (Stewart Swanson); her grandchildren, Jonathan Herrin (Emily), Janna Kay Swanson, Kelley Swanson and Jessi Herrin; her great grandchildren, John Hampton Herrin, Price Herrin and Bennett Herrin; and her sisters, Peggy Burke of Clarkesville and Ruth Goss of Dahlonega.
