Edna Carlene Hemphill Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edna Carlene Hemphill of Clarkesville, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 28, 2025 at the age of 75. As we bid Edna Carlene farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Edna Carlene is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her father Edward Hudgins; her brother Douglas Hudgins; and her grandparents, Basil and Linnie Burdette. She is survived by: her mother Irene Hudgins; her husband Johnny Hemphill of Clarkesville; her children, Julie Hemphill of Knoxville, TN and John Hemphill of Fayetteville; and her grandson John Peyton Hemphill. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery (2025 Mt Carmel Church Ln, Canton, GA 30114).
