He is survived by: his parent Gladys Pickens; his children, Lisa Renee Waldrop (Trey) of Freeport, Megan Caroline Pickens of Clarkesville, Catie Jordan (Jacob) of Ranger, Ginny Ann Huff (Cameron) of Loganville and Danny Raye Pickens, Jr. of Athens; his siblings, William Douglas Pickens (Laura) of Cumming and Gail Pickens Hayden of St. Cloud; his sister-in-law Kathleen Pickens of Decatur; and his grandchildren, Bishop, Belle, Sierra, Barrett Sheppard, Kaya Rei and Jackson Sheppard.
