He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Raymond Byron and Edyth Johnston Cox; his wife Darlene Hughes Cox; and his sister Dorothy Schulisch. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Daniels (John) of Yuma, Ruth Kriese of Jamestown and Joan Hand (Rob) of Clarkesville; his grandchildren, Travis Rockwell, Angela Anderson and Jenna Hand; and his great grandchild Emma Rockwell. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
