It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Albert Benjamin Chitwood of Clarkesville, Georgia, who passed away on April 3, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Oscar Benjamin "O. B." Chitwood; his son David Daniel Chitwood; his grandson Adam "A. J." Chitwood; his sister Frances Tench; and his brother-in-law Glenn Chastain.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Ann Lynch Chitwood; his sons, Benji (Jessica Chitwood) of Clarkesville, GA and Cohen Chitwood of Clarkesville, GA; his sisters, Grace Chastain of Alto, GA and Bessie (John Green); his grandchildren, Jana Chitwood Osteen, Ben Chitwood, Tyson Chitwood, Taylor Chitwood, Zachary Chitwood and Hunter Chitwood; and his great grandchildren, Isaac, Keegan, Joseph, Jace, Jaisley and Juneleigh. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
