He is survived by: his wife Donna Thigpen Nelson of Chula; his children, Pam Nelson Truesdale of Albany, GA, Meredith Jones, Kate Thompson (Seth) and Garrison Jones Ty Ty (Shannon); his brother Jim Nelson of Tifton; his grandchildren, Leigh Ann Ivey of Atlanta, GA, Hunter Yancey of Tifton, Drew Jones (Kaela) of Tifton, Macy Thorne of Tifton, Ava of Tifton, Adeline of Tifton, Hadley of Tifton and Grady Thompson of Tifton; his great grandchildren, Audrey Thorne and Charlie Kate Jones of Tifton; his niece Kelly Nelson; and his nephew Greg Nelson of Tifton.
