With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Inez Britton of Chickamauga, Georgia, who passed away on March 6, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, U. L. "Buck" Gravitt and Willie Mae Stoker Gravitt; her husband Harry Britton; her daughters, Teresa McCarty and Patricia Guffey; and her grandchildren, Kelly McCarty and Tina Whitlock.
She is survived by: her children, James Guffey of Catlett, GA, Willie Mae Kirkland of Chickamauga, GA, Jerry Guffey (Easter) of LaFayette, GA, Michael Guffey of LaFayette, GA and Allen Guffey of LaFayette, GA; her son-in-law James McCarty of Chickamauga, GA; her brother Raymond Gravitt of Chickamauga, GA; and her granddaughters, Kelsey Scott, Malaina Gentry and Mildred. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
