He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Jim" Jones and Abbey Jane Hughes Jones; his wife Jean Walker Jones; his granddaughter Rebecca Jones Simpson; and his siblings, Glenn Jones, Clarence Jones, Mary Blevins, Edith Jones, Roy Jones, Bill Jones, Tom Jones and Nell Blunt.

He is survived by: his sons, Mark Jones (Karen Murphy) and Tony Jones (Kym Jones); his sister Blanche Randolph; and his grandchildren, Rachel Jones and Trevor Jones (Taylor). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
