We are sad to announce that on October 2, 2023, at the age of 85, Bessie Purvis Coley of Chester, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, O. W. "Bud" Purvis and Bessie Mae Yeomans Purvis; and her husband Melvin P. Coley. She is survived by: her daughters, Penny Elliott (Kenny) of Cochran and Regina Warren (Don) of Chester; her grandchildren, Kyle Newman, Caleb Warren (Emily), Heather Garnto (T. J.), Misty Lamb (Steven), Kennon Elliott (Megan), Sarah Yearty (Troy) and Lauren Elliott; and her siblings, Linda Warren (Bobby) of Eastman, R. S. "Sam" Purvis (Angie) of Alabaster, AL and J. W. Purvis (Cheryl) of Roddy. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
