He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Penley and Lena Penley; and his sisters, Willie Stephens and Ellen Ingram. He is survived by: his wife Wanda "Pat" Penley of Chatsworth; his son Brian; his daughter-in-law Beverly Penley of Chatsworth; his daughter Samantha Weaver; his close friend Douglas Shepherd of Dalton; his grandchildren, Taylor Penley, Candace Weaver Hetrick (Kevin) and James Weaver; and his caregiver Claudette Thomas.
