He is survived by: his fiancée Lisa Meade; his children, Joseph Jedidiah "Joe" Bentley and Ashley Nicole Bentley; his grandson Connor Bentley of Chatsworth, GA; and his siblings, Harry Lee Bentley (Laura) of East Ridge, TN, Luther Bentley of Pikeville, KY, David Bentley (Marie) of Indiana, Mary Jane Deel of Flatwoods, VA, Linda Sue Mullins, Charlene Dorothy Hamby of Florence, KY, Sandra Gay Bolling of Wise, VA, Virginia Bond (Micky) of Coeburn, VA and Sharon Rose Belcher of Pikeville, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
