He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hughes and Ethelee Hughes; his stepmother Irene Hughes; his brothers, Weldon Hughes and Kenneth Hughes; his sister-in-law Pat Hughes; and his close friend Harrell Craven.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Hughes; his son Chris; his daughter-in-law Cheri Hughes; his siblings, Tommy Hughes (June), Joe Hughes, Rose Roach (David), Linda Taylor (Leroy) and Peggy Smith (Andy); his sister-in-law Nancy Craven; his children, David Mcroy, Madison Mcroy, Tyler Mcroy and Aubrey Oliver; his grandchildren, Nichole Adcock (Kyle), Mackenzie Coker and Joshua Richardson; his great grandchildren, Ulyssa, Kyra, O'Dell and Tessa Adcock; and his pet Bobbi. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousin.
