We are sad to announce that on July 29, 2023, at the age of 101, Lucy Hess of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lucy Hess to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Cleaverd A. Hess; her parents, Charles M. Scott and Bessie Mae Scott; her brothers, Charles Ray Scott and Harold Gene Scott; and her sons, Gary C. Hess and Emory S. Hess.
She is survived by: her daughter Marilyn; her son-in-law Spencer Hall of Chatsworth; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Wesley Arnold, Suzanne, Keith Peterson and Amanda Hess; and her great grandchildren, Mary Hess Pruett, Karoline James, Anna Kate Arnold, James Arnold, Renlee Hess and Jack Pruett.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Calvary Baptist Children's Home (https://calvarykids.org) or Smyrna Baptist Church (P.O. Box 1341 Chatsworth, GA 30705).
