He was predeceased by: his son Joseph Andrew Bowers; his parents, Arlene Phillips Bowers and Cosby S. Bowers (Frizz); and his brother Charlie Bowers. He is survived by: his children, Shane Bowers and Brittany Bowers; his sister Amelia Murray; his niece Julie Bowers; his nephews, Chris Bowers and Chris Elrod; his former wife Marcy Bowers Heatherly; and his close friend Linda Crider. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
