He was predeceased by: his parents, Major Dupree and Lelia Hicks Dupree; his daughter Tamra Price; and his brother Charles Dupree. He is survived by: his wife Kay Dupree; his children, Jerry Gray (Amanda) and Jada Burke (Charles); his siblings, David Dupree (Earlene), Teresa Posey and Hilda Shoemaker; and his grandchildren, Carolyn Gray, Landon Gray, Anthony Dean, Jonathan Dean, Joey Hernandez and Emily Hernandez. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
