He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph LaFayette and Aurelia Terry Winkler; and his siblings, Woodrow, Tom, Anderson, Henry, Wesley Winkler, Ruby Patterson, Eva Tankersley, Lois Winkler, Virginia Winkler and Betty Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Corena Winkler of Chatsworth; his son Ben; his daughter-in-law Kim Winkler of Chatsworth; his daughter Dianne; his son-in-law Tim Odell of Chatsworth; and his grandsons, Noah Winkler and Heath Winkler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cool Springs Baptist Church.
