He was predeceased by: his parent O. D. (Joyce Spivey); and his siblings, Hoyt Manis, Lola Marshall, Genivee Parrish, Donnie Manis, Vivian Corn, Steve Spivey, Thurman "Plug" Spivey and Lamar "Bimbo" Spivey.

He is survived by: his daughters, April Spivey of Chatsworth, Carmen (Rene Gonzales), Susana (Josh Smith) and Laura (Israel Garcia Sr.). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
