He is survived by: his wife Lois Burkett Hewitt; his children, Lynn (Tammie Hewitt), Billy (Teresa Hewitt, Jr.), Charlene Wall of Benton, TN, Shirley (Tim Ridley), Sue (Kenneth Wilson) and Tammy Acosta of Dalton, GA; his grandchildren, Amy, Chris James, Rodney Hewitt, Jennifer, Marcus Tate, Bradley Richardson, Kayla, Cody Plott, Destiny, John Fowler, Jacob, Taya Hewitt, Alexis Hewitt, Barry Jones, Adam, Keisha Wilson and Michael Quinn; and his brothers, Teddy Hewitt of Rocky Face, GA and Jerry Hewitt of Rocky Face, GA. He is also survived by twenty-three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
