It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Jackson of Chatsworth, Georgia, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Ray Jackson, Sr.; her sons, Donald Ray Jackson, Jr. and Ronald Lee Jackson; her parents, Gladys Weaver Grooms and Otto Grooms; and her brothers, John, Richard, Joe and Tommy Grooms.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Whatley and Karren Bennett; her grandchildren, Phillip Whatley (Susan), Michael Whatley (Shoni), Tabitha King (Cord), Heather Williams (Ethan), Sabrina Bennett and Jon Bennett (Patience Howell); her great grandchildren, Olivia, Emma Whatley, Dhilen Whatley, Emerson Williams, Easton King, Elizabeth and Alexandria Bennett; and her sister Margaret Pilkington (Kenneth). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Central Church of Christ (515 N Tibbs Rd, Dalton, GA 30720).
