She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Newton; her parents, Venus Casey and Ella Casey; and her son Edwin Ray Burns. She is survived by: her children, Mary Akers (Skip), Jif Gates, Venus Newton (Cheryl), Adrian Ernest Newton (Teressa Bloodworth) and Lucretia Newton (Mike Henderson). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
