He was predeceased by: his father Clinton Ward; his brother Kenneth Richardson; and his stepfather James A. Richardson. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Richardson; his daughters, Katy Hanners (Dillon) and Sabrina Ward; his brothers, James E. Ward (Kathleen) and Daniel Richardson (Laura); his friend Melinda Ward; and his stepsons, Robert Heard (Patti), Bryan Owens (Jodi) and Daniel Owens (Lori).

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Ronald Ward.
