He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Scarborough, Sr. and Emma Holland Scarborough; his former wife Carolynne Wood Scarborough; and his brothers, J. W. Scarborough, Jr., Thomas Scarborough and Don Scarborough.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Scarborough of Centerville; his daughters, Melva Lynn Layton (Sterling) of Byron and Karen Vernon of Perry; his stepdaughters, Tanya Brakhage (Dennis) of Savannah, Endia Sakhleh (Goo) of Oak Ridge, Tennessee and Amber Jones (Jeff) of Carrollton; his grandchildren, Matt Frazier of Byron, Mandy Oliver of Warner Robins and Jadie Shelton (Chad) of Perry; his stepgrandchildren, Seth Holt and Rachel Holt of Tampa, Florida; his great grandchildren, Brandon Frazier, Daemon Frazier, Jeremy Starr, Karissa Frazier, Stryder Shelton, Moriah Shelton and Reeve Shelton; and his siblings, Marvin Scarborough of Eastman, James Scarborough of Eastman, Louise Smisson (Wright) of Bonaire and Sherell Yawn of Warner Robins.
