She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Weldon and Edith Hudson Cannon; her former husbands, Tony "Pat" Floyd and Ronald "Ron" Fields; her husband Jim Jenkins; her brother Roger T. Cannon, Sr.; her son-in-law Jim Chavis, Sr.; her grandson Jimmy Chavis, Jr.; her children, Toni Chavis (Quint Jones) and Ronald K. Fields, Jr.; her grandchildren, Amanda Fountain (Tommy), Chip Jones (Tasha) and Patricia Collins (Brian); her great grandchildren, T. J., Trent Fountain, Mack Jones, Bryce, Makayla and Madelyn Collins; and her sisters, Sharon Ball, Phyllis Buffkin, Grace Gatto (Earl Strobush) and Tonya Clinard (Jerry). She is also survived by mother, and "MawMaw" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given in memory of Janis to the Hazel Colson Hospice House, 1120 Morningside Dr., Perry, GA 31069.
