She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben Slay Rogers and Beatrice Ivey Rogers; her husband Hillard S. Chastain, Jr.; and her brother Reuben James Rogers, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Linda Rowe (Bruce), Yancy Chastain (Kathy) and Steve Chastain (Heather); and her sister Fae Hudson (Lawrence). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
