He is survived by: his father Coats Coats; his wife Brenda Diane Coats; his children, Latesha Stokes (Eddie), Kimberly Massey (Danny) and Kerry Coats (Deborah); and his sister Elaine Austin. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a niece and a nephew.
