He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard "Dick" Smith, Sr. and Evelyn Brumbelow Smith; his daughter Audrey Boone; and his brothers, Marion Smith and Charles Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Paulette Smith; his children, Jessica Hughes (Greg), Sara Saade (Herbie), Brandi Ashley (Garvin), April Hunter (Scott), Joshua York, Adam Smith, Clint Ramey and Kevin York; and his sister Nelle Brown (Herb). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
