With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nora Matthews Merritt (Cedartown, Georgia), who passed away on July 28, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Roy Matthews and Carrie Dempsey Matthews; her son Ronnie Merritt; her siblings, Paul Matthews, Muril Matthews, Hal Matthews and Sandra Mauldin; her son-in-law Jerry Gurley; and her great grandchild Alliyah Stephens.
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Gurley, Michael Merritt, Scottie Merritt, Tammy Pointer (Jason) and Barry Gibbs; her grandchildren, Luke Minter, Matthew Minter (Amber), Cody Merritt (Sarah), Jade Merritt, Caitlin Keller (John), Zach Merritt (Kelsey) and Britnee Stephens (Del); her great grandchildren, Miles Merritt, Anna Kate Merritt, Jeremy Stephens (Anna) and Jackson Stephens; her great great grandchildren, Cora Ann and Grady Joe; and her brothers, Roy Matthews and Arnold Matthews.
