He was predeceased by: his parents, William Herman Shaw and Mildred Elizabeth Angel Shaw; his daughter Lisa Shaw Watkins; his grandson William Lyle Shaw; and his sisters, Betty Ann Swafford and Elizabeth Storey.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Powers; his sons, Greg Shaw (Paige) of Gore and Jerry Shaw (Dawn) of Cedartown; his grandchildren, Corie Elizabeth Watkins Dempsey (Jimmy), Walter Loyd Watkins (Jenny) and Lacey Shaw Roberson (Kyle); and his great grandchildren, John Allen Dempsey and Charlotte Belle Dempsey.
