He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne Irwin Edge and John Walter Edge. He is survived by: his girlfriend Becky Hines; his children, Julie Redden (Shane), Joel Edge (Leslie) and Meredith Dagg (Matt); the mother of his children Mitzi Damron; his grandchildren, Nick Redden (Abby), Trey Redden, Emily Redden, Emilee Grace Zuker, Jonalynn Zuker, Miles Edge and Georgia Dagg; his great grandchild Oliver Redden; and his siblings, Anne Ake and Russ Edge (Deborah).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cedartown United Fund as tribute to the generous and adventurous spirit that defined his life.
