He was predeceased by: his parents, Weyman B. Astin and Mayme Barrett Astin; his wife Donna Gay Simpson Astin; his daughters, Angela Astin and Angel Astin; his siblings, Mary Ruth Collins, Shirley J. Mitchell, Weyman N. Astin, Jr., Norman Douglas Astin, Charles B. Astin and Dwight S. Astin (Pete); and his grandparents, Albert B., Lydia Astin, John C. and Amanda Barrett.
He is survived by: his son Wesley B. Astin (Tammy); his sister Fay A. Corley; his nieces, Monica B. Goss, Tammie Brock, Marion B. Ventulett and Cindy Vickers; his nephew Tommy Collins; and his sons, Rev. Wayne Benefield and Gary Martin. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family of Mr. Astin respectfully requests that both food and floral contributions be omitted and that memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Cedartown in his honor.
