With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Glenda Faye Mattox of Cedartown, Georgia, born in Rome, Georgia, who passed away on November 17, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, E. D. Johnson and Elizabeth Johnson; and her son Del "June Bug" George, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Wayne Mattox; her children, April Sosebee, Missy Rooks (Bryan), Lara George, Tim Sosebee (Rhonda) and Bruce Wayne Mattox; her brother Rufus Johnson (Vicki); her grandchildren, Cody Sosebee, Jamie Schlief, Trace Barron, Ethan George, Elizabeth George, Zachary Mattox and Drew Mattox; and her great grandchildren, Laurel Schlief, Abel Schlief, Cooper Mattox and Carsyn Claire Mattox.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gammage Funeral Home (106 N College St, Cedartown, GA 30125). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family has respectfully requested that floral arrangements are to be omitted and memorial donations can be made to the Cedar Valley Shrinettes, P.O. Box 183, Cedartown, GA 30125.
