We bid farewell to Evelyn W. Owens of Cedartown, Georgia, born in Aragon, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 30, 2025 at the age of 97. Evelyn touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, James H. Ward and Samantha Folds Ward; her siblings, Zelma Duke, Lillie Edwards, Etoy McGoon, Raymond Ward, JW Ward and Dewey Ward; and her grandson Dr. Christopher Marr.
She is survived by: her sons, Lamar Owens (Gaynell) and Keith Owens (Teresa); her grandchildren, Donnie Marr (Virginia), Anthony Marr, Chris Owens (Stacy), Heath Owens (Johnna) and Dena Stroup (Jason); her great-niece Leslie Ellenburg; and her close friends, Mary Trigalown and Texi Anne Broadway. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren.
