With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barry Glenn Boatner Sr. of Cedartown, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 5, 2024 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, L. T. Boatner and Emma Minter Boatner; and his sister Doris Jane Tortoso. He is survived by: his significant other Evelyn Newberry Boatner; his children, Regina Mathews (Michael) of Cedartown and Barry Boatner, Jr. (Stephanie) of Cedartown; his sister Dorothy Tanner; his grandchildren, Sarah Garmon (Tony), Stephen Mathews, Hannah Sanford (Casey), Tyler Boatner, Chloe Boatner (Jordan Mayo) and Claire Boatner (Cayden Lawson); and his great grandchildren, Hudson Garmon, Brody Mathews, Chase Mathews, Harper Sanford, Gracelyn Garmon, Carter Sanford and Olivia Lawson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
