He was predeceased by: his parents, A. T. Lindsey and Lula Bell Lindsey; his siblings, Lucy E. Muller, Lottie L. Pendley and William Jesse Lindsey; and his former wife Maxie Watson Lindsey.
He is survived by: his wife Lela Liner Lindsey; his children, Phillip David Lindsey (Linda) and Missy Hall (Casey); and his siblings, Herbert N. Lindsey (Wanda) of Rome, Herman Wayne Lindsey (Annette) of Muscadine, Alabama and Patsy L. English (Bill) of Kennesaw, Georgia. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
