With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Scott Ridgeway of Cave Spring, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 16, 2025 at the age of 69. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Roger Scott may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, S. Ridgeway Smith and Virginia Tinsley Smith; his son Jason Ridgeway; his grandson Allan Youngblood; and his siblings, Marty Ridgeway, Tony Ridgeway, Kim Cantrell and Kay Raper.
He is survived by: his children, Lucy Dailey (Aaron) and Jesse Ridgeway. He is also survived by two other daughters; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home (230 S College St, Cedartown, GA 30125). A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
