She was predeceased by: her parents, Gene Lanning and Kathleen Moses Lanning; her husband Harley Austin Shuler, Jr.; and her son Phillip Scott Shuler. She is survived by: her children, Don Shuler of Candler, NC, Carol Smith (Mac) of Candler, NC, Kathy Self of Rome, GA, Joe Shuler (Sarah Ann) of Calhoun, GA, Betty Ann Spriggs (Danny), Cedar Bluff and Patty Shuler Baur; and her sisters, Marcelle Kilpatrick and Judy McCuiston. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
