He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Powell and Helen Mize Powell; his brother Wayne Powell; his mother-in-law Penny McCord; his brother-in-law Tommy Hardin; and his sisters, Elizabeth Neal, Addie Roberson and Juanita Rayburn.
He is survived by: his wife Angie McCord Powell; his children, Cody Powell (Morgan) of Nashville, TN and Alicia Sullins (Gary); his grandchild Zayden Sullins; his siblings, Al Powell (Charlene) and Lilly Hardin; his father-in-law Bobby McCord; his brother Tim; and his sister-in-law Tina McCord. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
