He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Roscoe Norton and Marian Smith Norton Covert; his sister Lois Ann Simmons; and his stepfather Jack Covert. He is survived by: his daughter Kim Norton Rhodes (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Devin Rhodes and Makensie Rhodes; and his niece Kim Green of Cave Spring. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
