He was predeceased by: his parents, W. R. Godfrey and Gertrude Ellis Godfrey; his siblings, Roland Godfrey, Leon Godfrey and Foy Godfrey; and his sister-in-law Betty Godfrey.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Godfrey (Brenda) and Susan Gayle Allen (Jon); his stepson Steve Pruitt (LaVerne); his brothers, James Godfrey and Therron Godfrey; the mother of his children Peggy Myers; and his close friends, Connie Godfrey and Angie Gladden. He is also survived by Eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
