Gary J. Melton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary J. Melton of Cave Spring, Georgia, born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Melton and Woodrow Melton; and his daughters, Lisa Kay Willis (Jeff) and Emma Laura Melton Palacios. He is survived by: his wife Faye Downey Melton; his daughters, Gerri Druckemiller (Bobby), Selena Mobbs (Kevin), Mary Ann Payton and Mary Beth Melton; and his siblings, Judy Cook (Jimmy) of Cedartown, June Lassiter (Phil), Dale Melton (Judy) and Gabriel Melton (Eve). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home (230 S College St, Cedartown, GA 30125). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gary's memory to the Jackson Chapel Cemetery or Mountain Home Baptist Church.
