He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Mitchell and Lillian Leach Mitchell; and his sister Floy Hayes. He is survived by: his daughters, Kathleen Hope Hicks (Jim) of Alexandria, Ala and Kelli Mitchell of Cave Spring; his grandchildren, Chrystal Purdy, Kathleen Connors, Theresa Sanford, Stephanie Trudell, Andrea Trudell and Stephen Trudell; his great grandchildren, Izzy Purdy of Neal Purdy, II, Ryder Purdy, Sophia Connors, Jonathan Connors and Erin Trudell; and his siblings, Janelle Longshore of Rockmart, Faye Blackmon of Clem and Sammy Mitchell of Dallas.
