It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Walter Wendell Mason Sr. (Cataula, Georgia), who passed away on March 22, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Smith Mason Dunaway of Stewart County and Roy Bernard Mason (Ickey) of Stewart County; his wife Emily Harris Mason; his son Walter W. Mason, Jr.; and his granddaughter Amanda Lea Mason.

He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Anne Mason of Columbus; his siblings, Bernadine Mason Jones and Gary Mason (Carol); his niece Kim Goare (Mike) of Lumpkin; his friend Jeff Ponder; and also, Hailee Goare of Lumpkin, Addi Horton of Lumpkin, Benji Horton, Jr. of Lumpkin and Mason Horton of Lumpkin.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Morningside Baptist Church or Muscogee Humane Society in his memory.
