He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Reid and Lavinia Ellen Henderson Scrivner; and his brother Tom Scrivner. He is survived by: his wife Robin; his children, Chris Scrivner (Stephanie), Wren Scrivner Dickens (Dan) and Shelton Scrivner (Caitlyn); his sister Lee Ellen Scrivner Bryan; and his grandsons, Ethan and Evan.
