It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Irvin Alford of Cataula, Georgia, born in Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on January 30, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleveland Alford and Minnie Estelle Miller Alford; his wife Elizabeth; and his daughter Catherine "Jo Jo" Thompson. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Domonkos (Nandor) and Suzanne Williams (David); and his grandchildren, Nickie Thompson, Luke Harvey, Sarah Domonkos, Delia Williams and Norah Williams.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Columbus Hospice.
