It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Marie Watkins of Cataula, Georgia, who passed away on February 7, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James William Cartledge, Sr. and Lucille Simerly Cartledge; her husband David "Ape" Kenneth Watkins; her siblings, James Cartledge and Gloria Ann Mullin; her friend Wallace Cochran; her son-in-law George Jones; and her brother-in-law William H. Mullin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Marie Watkins Thigpen (Edward "Ed") of Midland, GA, Joni Watkins Jones of Cataula, GA, Linda Anne Watkins Osborne of Lewisville, TX and Teresa G. Watkins Hardage (Todd) of La Grange, GA; and her brother Don Cartledge (Myrna) of Rockville, VA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
