He was predeceased by: his parents, John Flippo and Elsie Davis Flippo; his daughter Darla Packer; and his brother-in-law Lynn Hulsey. He is survived by: his wife Carla Moon Flippo; his children, David Patrick (Gayla), Brian Moon, Aaron Moon and Amanda Brinkley (Mike); and his sister Lucy Hulsey. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
