It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Frances Allen of Cartersville, Georgia, who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sofio Giuffrida and Jennie Giovannini Giuffrida; her husband Melvin Allen; her children, Linda Allen and Barre Allen; and her brothers, Cosmo Giuffrida and Francis Giuffrida.

She is survived by: her daughter Becky Allen; her grandchildren, James Holmes, Waylon Allen (Heather), Joseph Holmes, Micah Allen, Denver Allen and Dylan Allen; her great grandchildren, Haven Allen and Lily Allen; her sister Anne Barzyk; her close friend Barbara Cowart; and her sons, Brad Cowart and Bert Cowart. She is also survived by met her husband, love of her life, and father.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home & Cremation Services (430 Cassville Rd, Cartersville, GA 30120). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the Sunset Memory Gardens (790 Indian Mound Rd SE, Cartersville, GA 30120).
