Joe Tilley Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate Joe Tilley of Cartersville, Georgia, whose life came to an end on February 18, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, S. V. "Pete" Tilley and Gladys Ruff Tilley; his grandparents, Alvin Y., Delta Tilley, William "Sam" and Carrie Ruff; his in-laws, John and Jane Fleetwood; his sister Jane Tilley; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Tilley, Jimmy (Becky) and Edward Fleetwood.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane; his daughters, Carrie and Lori Popham (Allen); his grandchildren, Maggie Smith Burns (Nick), Marleigh Smith, Brandon Popham (Ashton) and Courtney Popham; his great grandchildren, Mason and Ella Popham; and his brother Phil Tilley. He is also survived by many other family members and friends he loves.

The military honors will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 1:45 PM at 814 West Ave, Cartersville, GA 30121. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to Backpack Buddies or the Joe Tilley Scholarship sponsored by the City of Euharlee through the Etowah Scholarship Foundation.
